Refund Policy

At Human Rights Council for India (HRCI), we value the trust of our donors and supporters. We strive for complete transparency and fairness in processing all donations. This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which a donor may request a refund, and how HRCI handles such requests.


1. General Policy

All donations made to HRCI are considered voluntary and non-refundable.
However, if a donor has made a genuine error or a technical issue occurred, HRCI may review the request and process a refund as per the guidelines below.


2. Valid Reasons for Refund

A refund request may be accepted only in the following cases:

  • Technical error during online payment

  • Duplicate payment (same amount deducted twice)

  • Incorrect donation amount entered by mistake

  • Transaction failure but amount deducted

  • Any other genuine issue approved by the HRCI finance team

Refunds are not provided for:

  • Change of mind

  • Completed donations already utilized for programs

  • Donations made due to influencer promotion or referral outside HRCI control


3. Refund Request Time Limit

Refund requests must be made within 7 days from the date of donation.
Requests made after 7 days may not be eligible for refund.


4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, donors must email us with the following details:

Please include:

  • Full Name

  • Contact Number

  • Donation Amount

  • Date of Transaction

  • Transaction ID / UPI Reference

  • Reason for requesting refund

Our finance team will verify the details and respond within 3–7 working days.


5. Mode of Refund

Approved refunds will be processed through:

  • UPI

  • Bank Transfer

  • Same mode of payment used during donation

Refund completion time: 7–14 working days depending on bank processing time.


6. Receipt Cancellation

If the donation receipt was already issued:

  • A refund will only be processed after the donor agrees to void/cancel the previously issued receipt.

This is mandatory to maintain compliance and audit rules.


7. Rights of HRCI

HRCI reserves the right to:

  • Accept or reject a refund request

  • Request additional documents

  • Delay refund in case of banking/technical issues

  • Take up to 14 days for final confirmation

All decisions made by HRCI will be final and binding.
