Donation Policy

At Human Rights Council for India (HRCI), we are committed to maintaining transparency, accountability, and ethical practices in all our donation activities. This Donation Policy outlines how donations are accepted, utilized, managed, and acknowledged to ensure full trust and confidence of our donors and supporters.


1. Purpose of Donations

All donations received by HRCI are used solely for:

  • Human rights awareness programs

  • Legal support for victims

  • Social welfare and community development initiatives

  • Educational and training activities

  • Emergency support and relief services

  • Operational and administrative expenses required for the organisation

We ensure that every contribution directly supports our mission of protecting and promoting human rights across India.


2. Modes of Donation Accepted

We accept contributions through the following modes:

  • UPI / QR Code

  • Bank Transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS)

  • Online Payment Gateway

  • Cheque / Demand Draft

  • Cash (only below the statutory limits and with receipt)

3. Non-Refundable Donations

All donations made to HRCI are non-refundable, except in cases of:

  • Technical errors during online payment

  • Duplicate transactions

  • Any genuine mistake verified by HRCI finance team

Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 7–14 working days.


4. Donor Privacy & Data Protection

We respect our donors' privacy.
HRCI will not share, sell, or distribute donor information including:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Address

  • Transaction details

Donor data is used only for internal records, legal compliance, and acknowledgement purposes.


5. Donation Receipts

Donors will receive a digital receipt via email within 24–72 hours of the successful donation.
Receipt includes:

  • Donor name

  • Amount donated

  • Date

  • Transaction ID

  • Purpose of donation

  • HRCI official seal & signature


6. Utilization of Funds

Funds received are used according to:

  • Organisational budget

  • Program needs

  • Statutory compliance requirements

HRCI maintains:

  • Transparent bookkeeping

  • Annual audits

  • Accounting records as per Indian NGO norms

Annual financial reports may be shared upon request.


7. Donor Rights

As an HRCI donor, you have the right to:

  • Ask how your donation is being used

  • Request financial transparency

  • Receive official receipts

  • Get updates on ongoing projects & impact

  • Maintain your anonymity (if preferred)
